The Project is located on the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike, from SR 836 to I-75, in Miami-Dade County. The Project consists of demolition and widening of eleven (11) bridges, construction of two (2) new bridges, and two (2) new Toll Collection Plazas, including Administration Buildings, etc. The bridges are comprised of cast-in-place footing foundations, concrete columns and inverted “T” caps, pre-stressed concrete beams, structural steel beams, poured-in-place concrete decks, along with other miscellaneous work. The toll plazas are constructed with cast-in-place concrete foundations and columns, with concrete block walls with brick veneer, pre-cast double tee roof beams, concrete tie beams, and cast-in-place concrete roofs with modified SBS roofing.
