GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This design-build project consists of the widening of three existing bridges totaling over 400’ in length and construction of new sound barrier walls totaling over 15,000’ in length.
Two of the bridges consist of cast-in-place spread footing foundations, concrete pier columns and caps, pre-stressed concrete AASHTO Type III girders and poured in place concrete deck and traffic railings.
The other bridge will be widened by installing pre-cast / pre-stressed concrete slabs on existing cast-in-place substructures.
The Sound Walls consist of a system of pre-cast concrete panels and posts installed in 30-inch diameter auger cast pile foundations.
